Section B [Death on a Silver Platter]

Jack got up and surveyed his surroundings.  The main lobby before “Aesthetic Ideals” was very dim due to the cloud of smoke that had appeared after the explosion.  Many of the walls were already drab and the cloud of dust did nothing to help them.  Looking forward, Jack could not move forward to follow Dr. Steinman.  The explosion had caused a large sign to fall in the doorway and Jack was not able to move the large neon sign. Shortly after attempting to force the neon sign away, Atlas started to speak “You’re going to need to use Telekinesis in order to toss some explosives at that sign.” Jack had no idea what telekinesis was, but he knew it had to be a plasmid, even though he had no idea where to look.
Retreating back to the main lobby took all but two seconds, and Jack now stood completely confused as to which direction he should be heading now. In front of him was a bright neon sign that had a list of all the different specialties in the building. At the top was “Eternal Flame Crematorium”, below was “Twilight Fields”, and finally, “Aesthetic Ideals”. Below that, was a large black arrow pointing to the floor that read “Dental and Facial”. No part of the sign indicated where he could find a plasmid called Telekinesis, so Jack decided to do the only thing he could, start at the top and work his way down. Jack reached out and pressed the light that read “Eternal Flame”, and the heat of the light seemed to melt his finger to the pole, sticking him against it. A second later, the feeling subsided and Jack realized he was not in the lobby, but directly in front of an arch with a large flame and a sign reading “Eternal Flame Crematorium”. Simple enough.
The crematorium was very dim, and it smelled horribly of burnt flesh and hot ash. The large steel cremator was still running, and the heat was making the room sweltering hot. Above the steel furnace was a large indicator that pointed to the heat level in the chamber. Currently, it was at “Safe”. Jack took a few steps further, and suddenly heard some sort of beeping noise. It reminded him of the noise he heard when he first arrived, and Atlas had set a sort of mechanical robot on one of the splicers. A bright white light flashed on Jack instantly, and the alarm rattling suddenly became a clang of alarms, and a ladies voice came over yelling “Security alert! The parasite has been spotted in Sector 7, the Eternal Flame! All security bots, shoot on site!” The voice had only started when Jack took a dive behind an overturned desk, and the whir of wing blades suddenly became audible. Not moving a single muscle, Jack crouched in his hiding spot, waiting for the alarms to go off. He was counting the seconds before it would leave: 40…41…42…43…44…45…? The alarm had suddenly stopped, and he could no longer hear any noises. All had gone silent.
Zap! The electrobolt worked perfectly against the camera which had spotted him not but a minute earlier. The camera was fried, and it wasn’t going to be alerting of his presence again. Working away from the camera, Jack came to a table with a body on it, already prepped to be cremated. Interested in the process, he pressed a switch, and watched the body move into the fire, and the indicator moved quickly to “Warning!” before settling back into “Safe,” and the body popped out, along with something else. A glimmer was seen through the ashes, and upon further inspection, he saw a vial of red liquid, which read “Warning! Drinking this can cause adverse effects on the human genome. This product is meant to splice the ability to produce fire at the fingertips. Do not drink more than one at a time! Incinerate! When it absolutely HAS to be burned!” The label was not just a warning, but it also stated what it would do. Realizing that this was just like the Electrobolt he had spliced only an hour ago, Jack pulled off the top and drank it all in one gulp.
The liquid was hot, not spicy. It almost burned on his way down, but when it hit his stomach, his whole body keeled over, and the heat quickly spread between his fingertips, singeing the tips and turning them black, as if burnt. With a snap of his finger, the security camera he had just zapped, erupted in fire, and burnt until all the metal had been melted apart. The fire died down, and all Jack thought was, This may possibly be the most useful thing this city could give me!
Quickly running outside, Jack looked for anything he could snap a finger at, and noticed a lingering smoke cloud coming from under the walkway to Aesthetic Ideals. The smoke was white, and it wasn’t warm, it was cold. That’s the Dental Wing…I wonder what they decided to freeze up down there? Looking downward, Jack saw the greatest use of his newfound ability.

Prior: Medical Pavillion::[Meeting Dr. Steinman]
Current: [Death on a Silver Platter]
Next: [Telekinetic Abilities]

Sorry for the random short chapter, and long wait for this section.

WARNING: Hardcore BioShock fans!!!

I DID REMOVE TWILIGHT FIELDS, AND ADD A NEW ELEMENT TO THE STORY. THIS IS ONLY FOR SHORTENING PURPOSES.

No one likes to read how Jack walked across the room, so I used a previously removed plasmid (Teleportation), and made it object oriented. So enjoy that little change.
